A Viking Funeral for Historic London
What is it? To commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London, arts company Artichoke and “Burn” artist David Best created an ornate 400ft-long wooden model of the 1666 London skyline, and burned it on the Thames.
It’s good because modern London was defined by the rebuild after the fire; this was a Viking funeral for the historic capital.
