The Sacred Heart
I feel like a fool not to have thought of it before, and probably someone here did it, long before I did. However, today for the first time I realized that the threat of Moriarty could be quite a promise.
A burning heart is a heart that burns with love. Love is burning. The homosexual side of Sherlock, holding tightly in his arms, John Watson has simply communicated the obvious to a recalcitrant Sherlock Holmes. He then warned him by engraving an apple, original sin, the tempting snake, sex.
Writing it on a building in front of the place where Lestrade works. Love will come before work.
A threat, a promise. Writing on the walls in front of 221b, the place where Mrs. Hudson resides, Sherlock's heart.
Moriarty has fallen, and will carry Sherlock with him. But this is not a problem, a new simple love semantics. Fall in love and burn with love. Among other things, the most famous burning heart in the world, burning because full of love for mankinde is the heart of Jesus, called the Sacred Heart.
Which makes me think of the strange photos chosen for John's blog ... (X)
