We really need to talk about werewolves. Sharpen those claws and buckle the fuck up.
Every time I read a story about a horny alpha werewolf aggressively taking their fated mate, I go absolutely feral. No, not in a good way.
That trope desperately needs to lie down in the woods and just die.
Real wolves don't shag everything that moves. They're loyal to their mate and only make babies once a year.
The whole alpha thing was debunked ages ago. The scientist that coined the term made wrong assumptions while studying unrelated wolves in captivity. The "alphas" in the wild are just tired mom and dad wrangling all their kids. Shared responsibility. No ruling iron paw or aggressive claiming nonsense.
Lone wolves aren't broken or edgy. They're out, hustling for a mate.
Wolf packs are held together by community and cooperation. If one wolf gets too big for their britches, the rest literally put them back in line.
Please, do better. I beg you. Werewolves are drowning in repressed, toxic, horny human baggage. They deserve so much better.
