I try not to be the "why do I have responsibilities I'm a dragon" type of alterhuman but my goodness today I really want to fuck off and light things on fire.

I think that people need to realize that you should respect deities not because they're powerful but because they're people. Like, the other day Hekate was helping me and a friend with something and she offered to my friend to curse someone who had hurt them and I was like, wow that's a big offer! Just have the Goddess of Magic curse someone for you? Wild. So I asked her why she would do that and she said "Because I see they make you happy."
And that's definitely a thing a god could say, but that's more of a thing that a mother would say. That a person would say. It's just something for you to think about.
Pro of being needed: You'll fit into many spaces because accomodations must be made for what's necessary.
Con of being needed: Busy ALL THE FUCKING TIME
A very quick unedited post on why I find romantic relationships with spirits to be so appealing.
I've had much trouble finding human romantic partners and not for a lack of effort. Humans- for some fucking reason- can't seem to wrap their head around the idea that I factor in their mindset/personality when deciding if I'm attracted to them. I'm not going to date you if you have a shitty personality and shitty opinions! If you think that sucks hit the bricks.
The main reason I've ended relationships(both platonic and romantic) with humans is because they exhibit a quality I can't stand: the willingness to diminish themself for the approval of others. Honestly, as harsh as this sounds, if you do that then I have a hard time thinking of you as a person. It's easier to see you as an object that thinks it can make decisions for itself. Take pride in the uniqueness of personhood! Find joy in being your own person, find the strength to have a spine and stand up for yourself. I have walked out on dates because the other person would just sit there and compliment me, or tell me that we can do whatever I want to do, or talk about what I want to talk about, and all of my questions directed at them would be deflected with reassurances that they'll just do whatever I tell them to. I just can't be attracted to that kind of person, one with no substance, with no appreciation of their own personhood.
I don't have this problem with spirits, and I'm sure there are spirits that exist that display the quality I've talked about above, although I haven't met any and I think here's why: spirits that behave that way don't last long. They'll either be subjugated or consumed(literally) by another spirit that's looking for people to push around- and those are the kinds I've met plenty of. I know why humans do that thing I loathe- it's natural to want approval from your peers, it's a survival instinct, if your pack or tribe or whatever gives a shit about you your survival rate goes up. Things aren't so simple in the spiritual realm, you need to be self assured or other spirits will literally eat you alive. It also helps that spirits live for much longer than humans and I'm sure the experience they accrue accumulates into... words just got hard. Yeah their experience and long lives are also attractive to me. That's it end post.
The pros of getting better astral senses is that I can experience the astral in greater clarity! I can see my family! I can wander around towns! Last night I got to try some delicious wine and a bruschetta-like food that was really tasty! Overall a good time.
Con is the dysphoria(i don't have a better word) that I started experiencing. It's weird seeing your face in a mirror and going "that's not my face. That's not my skin. My skin is red. Where are my horns?" So I have made my astral body look more like my human body in an effort to combat this. Seems to be working?
Hello hello! I'm Nexus, I'm an adult(27) and I use she/her and he/him pronouns. You've found my spiritual blog focused on astral projection and alterhumanity.
I'm often hanging out in the astral in the Astral Harbour! Here's the discord:

I'll get the important stuff out of the way first:
Although some posts here have a humorous tone, all of this is serious metaphysical work. None of this is LARPing or imaginary.
Reality shifters DNI if you don't want to have a bad time.
Minors DNI please, I talk about adult stuff here.
Godkins/Deitykins who demand they be worshipped will be blocked.
Alterhumans who think all of humanity is bad or evil will be blocked.
Spiritual bigots(eg: people who hate demons) will be blocked.
If all of that is cool with you, please feel free to ask about or comment on what I do. I don't bite.
Nothing like popping into the astral plane and seeing your dad cosplaying Doug Dimmadome.
