Shadows Spreading Where You Stand is finished. The final chapter goes up this afternoon!
I'm SO pleased and relieved to have finished it finally, to get this project off my plate and not have it hanging over my head anymore... But at the same time I always forget about that lost, empty feeling when I finish writing a long fic. We started this fic five years ago. That's a long time to be working on a project! Having it done simultaneously feels like a massive weight off my shoulders and a loss. I guess it's the authorial version of empty nest syndrome. XD
(Except of course that I have so many other wips I'm working on. Too bad I have to wait for this mood to pass before I'll be able to write again.)
Perhaps I'll go read for a while, take it easy.
