whoa, is that Alex? smiling?? To many squids surprise, Alex can actually feel the emotion known as happiness. Though you won’t see her truly relax unless she’s either alone or hanging out with her best friend Jack. Those are the few times that she can let her hair down. Literally, and figuratively. Though it does beg the question of how they are even able to have a stable friendship with their seemingly incompatible personalities.

yknow, there’s something almost therapeutic about drawing angry faces. which is probably why i tend to draw alex so much whenever i do lil sketches. I really like how this turned out, and maybe someday ill have enough skill to draw in her legs, or even color!

This chipper fellow here is Jayce. Hes a high energy kid who loves a good turf war, almost as much as he loves getting on Alex’s nerves. His hyper nature tends to leave Alex tired and annoyed, and Jack just tired. Hes a decent battler, but easily outmatched by Alex and Jack. And while he does go overboard with his antics sometimes, he really does like his friends, even if he has strange ways of expressing that.

who the heck is this weird kid? and why is he wearing goggles? Well, to answer one of those questions, This is Jack. He is Burst Wave’s resident weapons expert and a master of the blaster. His skill in battle is as high as Alex’s, due to them having battled together in the past. While generally quiet, he will speak when necessary or when with his team. Burst wave is like a second family to him, and enjoys the new challenge of being part of a team.

Who is this angry squid? you might ask, well, this is Alex, leader of team Burst Wave. She is a highly skilled battler, with possibly an equally high temper. Shes determined to be one of the best battlers around and she will let no one stand in her way. While her aggressive personality puts her at odds with her team at times, She enjoys their time together as friends in arms.
