Number 12 of my Husbandoctober countdown: Alex Louis Armstrong of FullMetal Alchemist
Though assumedly emotionally scarred for life for the atrocities he has witnessed and committed in the Ishval civil war, the Strong Arm Alchemist still tries to atone for his sins by becoming what he wants the state alchemists to truly represent.
He has become a true man of honor, a protective figure of the young and innocent, and gained a physical figure that commands respect among anyone who knows of diligent training. Combined with his power to transmute stone while fighting, this man is both someone to love (back) and to fear in combat.
If anyone ever asks me what attracted me to this friendly giant, I'd say his (literal) sparkling charisma and the fighting spirit he showed in his fight with Sloth.
