Husbandoctober countdown Halloween bonus: Dante of Devil May Cry.

Technically a game character, but because this series also had some animated projects, I'm counting him.

Son of the legendary dark knight Sparda who decided to live in the human world and start a company called "Devil May Cry" to fight other demons of his kind that abuse their power to hurt innocent people and find the demons that killed his mother.

For being the son of a legendary demon who has seen his share of horrors, Dante always had his sense of style, comedy and insults in the face of danger.

husbandoctober #3: Videogame. Obviously it'd be him but I wasn't sure about what to do T_T in the end, selfshipping is self care. it's not pride but it's never too late to be the entire community!

Number 10 of my Husbandoctober countdown: Coop of Megas XLR

Harold Cooplowski is a Jersey guy who loves tinkering with cars, playing videogames and humiliating his adversaries in eating contests. But one fateful day, he stumbled upon a giant robot from the future. Because the robot was so busted, Coop decided to rebuild the robot into his image and rewire the controls so it would work like a hybrid of a car and a game console.

Even though Coop seems to be a lazy laid back guy, he definitely has the smarts of a good engineer. If you want to have some old fashioned fun or a crazy alien/space adventure, Coop is your guy. Just keep him away from anything precious you don't want broken.

Number 2 of my Husbandoctober countdown: Yamcha of Dragonball.

Yamcha used to be a dessert bandit with some reputation. Early on in the series he's shown to be somewhat of a threat by beating Goku in their first bout. But as the series progresses, he becomes an ally to Goku and Bulma in their search for the Dragonballs and dedicates himself to his Martial arts. The last time he was known to be active as a fighter was during the Cell saga.

Even though Yamcha's abilities dwarf in comparison with the Saiyans and other threats, he was still one of the strongest earthlings around with the guts to step up when he was needed. His character growth from bandit with girl issues to a generally good guy shows that even people with a rough background are still capable of turning over a new leaf.

Also I'm a sucker for his fighting technique called "Wolf Fang Fist". Give me any Dragonball game and I'll spam the H*ll out of it (if it is available).

Number 16 of my Husbandoctober countdown: Akitaru Ōbi of Fire Force.

In a world where there is spontaneous human combustion that turns you into flame demons, you'd think that all the captains of the Special Fire Force would have some pyrokinetic abilities. But Ōbi is among the only few insanely strong people who can hold is own against infernals.

Among the Captains, Ōbi has the most faith in people and humanity. His devotion to protect and save people is greater than what the rules dictate him. And to always be at the ready, he is literally constantly training to stay in peak physical shape to roll out whenever he's needed.

Number 14 of my Husbandoctober countdown: Satoru, aka Mumen Rider of One Punch Man

Anyone who saw/read One Punch Man knows of the many terrifying monsters that world inhabits and the many professional heroes that are at the ready to combat these things. But out of all those possibilities, including the caped baldy, I choose a powerless guy that rides on the scene on a bike in a leather cycling outfit.

I am not ashamed of this choice. Out of all the heroes in that series, if not almost any other series, this is a guy that has a heart and devotion that is THE closest to what an ideal hero is supposed to be. To help anyone he can. To make the world a better place one act at a time. It doesn't matter if you're able to win. To stand your ground for what you believe in is just as important.

Number 13 of my Husbandoctober countdown: Shizuo Heiwajima of Durarara

Ikebukuro has many strange figures with a reputation. This bodyguard looking like a bartender is one of them. He doesn't prefer to use violence. But when he snaps, he would literally throw a vending machine at you with his unrestrained strength.

Shizuo is well aware of his anger management issues that could potentially hurt others if he loses himself. But he is surrounded by more friends then he realises who can see that kind personality that he usually is that despises violence and gambling. And make sure never to mention Izaya Orihara.

Number 12 of my Husbandoctober countdown: Alex Louis Armstrong of FullMetal Alchemist

Though assumedly emotionally scarred for life for the atrocities he has witnessed and committed in the Ishval civil war, the Strong Arm Alchemist still tries to atone for his sins by becoming what he wants the state alchemists to truly represent.

He has become a true man of honor, a protective figure of the young and innocent, and gained a physical figure that commands respect among anyone who knows of diligent training. Combined with his power to transmute stone while fighting, this man is both someone to love (back) and to fear in combat.

If anyone ever asks me what attracted me to this friendly giant, I'd say his (literal) sparkling charisma and the fighting spirit he showed in his fight with Sloth.
