I recently did a tiktok video where I did my own take on the Superman "World made of cardboard" speech.

I just wanted to do it to get it out of my system. I didn't care for how far or close it was compared to George Newbern, because I know my foreign accent and sound of my voice wouldn't come anywhere close to that iconic moment.

This quote was something I kept with me from the moment I watched that episode. It kept the kid in me hoping that there could still be something I could succeed if I wasn't shackling myself with my doubts. The kind of hope that got me through some of my darker days.

Though I had the courage to put this out as a wink to one of my greatest inspirations, I was scared I'd receive some hateful comments over my performance that probably isn't my style to act well in...to put it lightly for myself. But surprisingly several people actually liked it. It got some views on tiktok and several people did end up leaving a like. I'm speechless and grateful for their kindness. That really lit up my day. Thank you.

You'd think screen casting would be working perfectly now since the introduction of it 15 years ago.

Nope.

I got a new smartphone and a new smart-tv that either still have difficulty even finding eachother. And even if it pairs, casting is fucking choppy....at best. What a waste of technology.

My hopes of a "healthy" 2026 had already been crushed within the first 7 weeks. First it was an overexertion that felt like I was ripping the tendons of my heel, which was dragging on for 3 weeks. Now it was the flu, something I usually rarely get these days.

This after a year where I had my foot nearly broken and having a blocked neck/shoulder 3 times.

I'm feeling more like Vincent Kompany in his last years as a soccer player: More benched due to injury than being on the pitch. I wish I wasn't this fragile.

I recently did a few TikTok videos again. A few duet voice-acting videos and a meme video with ...quite shitty editing and not knowing how to properly use my new microphone just yet.

I know my acting sucks. I'm not funny. I have no real "talent" for this. But it's ok. I do this for fun. A kind of fun I just wanted to have and do.

The internet is full of fake personas who want to be seen and awed. I don't care about that. I'm a struggling idiot with a bit of love for what he likes. Like most people in the world are. There is nothing wrong with that.

Being able to be in an animated project will still be my biggest dream ever. But knowing I don't have either the talent or privilege to make that reality. I'll settle for anything I can make for my own and to just have fun with it.

With every interaction with the police, any remaining trust in that agency diminishes even further.

A situation that clearly demonstrates bad intentions. An email exchange that strongly suggests who did it. And ultimately, it's filed away as a "lost and found" case.

Of the last four times I've needed the police, not a single one has had a (good) outcome. Do people really have to die for something before they'll finally take it half-seriously? And even then, I still have my doubts.

Last year I didn't properly do my countdowns. Frankly, I kinda forgot. But it's ok. I kinda did these countdowns as some way to express myself in a time I thought I couldn't. But my life changed a lot in the past year for the better so... that's actually a good thing.

Keep an eye out for june to see if I'll actually do another countdown. Or not. Who knows. I kinda still want to. Just need to keep my eye and mind on that goal. Not as easy being the scatterbrained idiot I am. 😅

The door behind 2025 is closed. A door I closed with nostalgia.

2025 has given me so much. My own apartment, new friends, a new family, a trip off my bucket list, and a loving year with my fantastic girlfriend.

2025 also had its struggles and setbacks, but compared to everything I've gained, it feels like mere footnotes in what I can probably call my best year ever on a personal level.

There's still room for improvement in 2026. I hope to be able to train more for my athletics again, to have a body that doesn't break down so easily, and to focus more on my (new) responsibilities.

Nothing is holy in Belgium except grants and tax cuts for multinationals.

Yesterday I passed my old workplace at Albert Heijn to do some groceries and found out they fucked over my ex colleagues for the holiday weekend.

Sunday 21/12 open from 8:00 to 20:00

Sunday 28/12 open from 8:00 to 20:00"

Note that the usual opening hours of this store on a sunday is 8:00 to 12:30

So during a holiday period when most people have the possibility to celebrate the end of the year with family and friends, these soulless motherfucking bosses want to hold their workers hostage for their job because these greedy motherfuckers hope to squeeze a few extra bucks out of people. And they aren't even going to get payed extra for this fucking slavery.

Of course Albert Heijn is one of those multinational companies who claim they are a "family", while they actually mean to be a "toxic family" that threatens workers with low wages they need to bend to their impossible will. Including occasionally giving "treats" that most of the time are actually spoiled products.

Fuck you Albert Heijn for treating human beings like fucking soulless machines. And fuck the Belgium government to allow this fucking garbage to happen, even fucking supporting is fucking slavery culture.

Actually, I forgot about October Countdown. Oops. So, some dark-themed anime recommendations. Whatever comes to mind. Whenever it comes to mind.

1) Black Lagoon by Rei Hiroe

The series revolves around a pirate group called The Lagoon Company, which specializes in dangerous transport operations, and the series begins with the "recruitment" of their newest member. Their base is in a city called Roanapur, where you see the biggest scumbags and the most dangerous cartels congregate.

The action and character interaction are great, but it's not for the faint of heart.

Putting Phil Collins in charge of a soundtrack for a Disney movie about Tarzan. Who would have thought something like this would come out? You'd immediately feel like the king of the jungle.

Number 30 of my OSTune countdown: Ross Thomas - Be Prepared

Disney songs rarely disappoint. Some of them have known a lot of mainstream popularity. In the Lion King, that song is Hakuna Matata. But the villain's song sometimes goes by unnoticed. This is not the case with this power song of Scar.

What bombed at the box office ended up being a cult classic. Tenacious D The Pick Of Destiny was no perfect movie, but it had some killer tracks. This is one of them.

Number 28 of my OSTune countdown: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 theme

It was a tie between the theme I grew up with, learning about the pizza eating ninja turtles in the sewers of New York, and the classic that started off the original show. My nostalgia got the better of my judgement today.

Opening theme to the cult classic One Punch Man. A guy who could take down monsters with one punch after his dedicated daily training regime at the cost of his hair.

Fightsong from the original Digimon series. The moment that guitar starts screaming, you know the fight is on. A song of hope and courage that still makes me wipe a tear.

Guitar Hero's cult track, said to be the most difficult one to play in the game. To this day people will test their skills on this song. Be it at normal hard mode or a modded sped up version

Number 24 of my OSTune countdown: Ray Parker Jr - Ghostbusters

This song still stands the test of time as both being a quirky song about needing Ghostbusters, named after the movie franchise, and a rocking instrumental that gets you groovin'.
