Uncarding a 1989 Toy Biz Batman action figure
Last week I uncarded a Penguin action figure, and y’know what? It felt awesome to liberate some thirty-year-old plastic.
I’ve had this carded Batman figure for years, and the cracked bubble had become so brittle that it was barely hanging on (I have another one with a really nice, clear bubble).
This figure was impossible to find in my hometown during the summer of ‘89. I didn’t find any until some time in September — two whole months after the film’s release — and it was at Bi-Way, which usually had a really shitty selection of toys. I got Batman, my brother got Robin.
I’m trying to find a really good text post about how Batman has changed through different eras of comics and movies. I can’t find it. Does anyone have it?

But a kiss can be even deadlier if you mean it”

Sociopath Profile: Jack Napier
Alias: the Joker From the 1989 film Batman Played by Jack Nicholson (pictured) and Hugo E. Blick (young)
Both before and after his dip in the chemicals and after, this Joker is a violent maniac. He has done some pretty violent things both as a mobster and the worlds first fully-functional homicidal artist.
I was just reminded of the time that the Joker once ranted about Batman stole his balloons and I just couldn’t help but laugh at that.
The Joker - a psychopathic mass-murderer - got angry about having his balloons stolen! I can’t be the only one who thinks that’s kinda funny. XD
