'Still With You' is a JIKOOK SONG Part 4

This is my theory. I don’t wanna hear anything negative at all, period. I will also dive into doing some analysis of the lyrics. Please know that this is all personal interpretation. I know Jungkook said it’s a song for ARMY. Anyway, If u think it’s nonsense just move on from this post. Also English is not my first language so please be nice.

That moon looks lonely - Moon symbolises Jimin. K-armys call them the sun and moon couple. I feel like the reference here is very intentional. The moon looking lonely not only shows the emotional and physical distance between them but also how Jimin might be feeling from Jungkook's perspective.

Feels like it's crying brightly in the night sky - I also believe it represents Jimin's emotional state. In Jungkook's eyes, Jimin (moon) is crying brightly. By describing the moon that way, it shows he is not only focusing on his hurt alone. This oxymoronic phrase highlights the complex emotions Jimin might be going through. After saying “I am not going to care about you anymore, do whatever you want". He still answered Jungkook's call. Even asked him his whereabouts and said he will go to him. This reveals that despite the hurt, anger and pride, underneath he still cares for Jungkook too. Therefore, the crying is reflecting the unresolved hurt and the brightness is confirming the continued affection he still feels for Jungkook.

Even though I knew that morning would come I wanted to stay in your sky like a star - Jungkook is the sun. Saying that morning would come, could be him recognising his own intensity and pride. The sun rising can make the moon disappear from the sky, which may reflect how Jungkook's intensity and pride probably pushed him Jimin away. (Remember the Rain fight was brought up because it was something he felt sorry about towards Jimin). Jungkook therefore wishes to stay like a star, not to overpower the moon but to coexist gently. This again highlights his growth, he is understanding that having pride and being right only creates imbalance in their relationship.

Jungkook during the 'BTS in the Soop 2020' was discussing this bit of the lyrics with Namjoon. Jungkook lyrics before he changes it:

"Moon trying to carry the night sky on its own" "If the moon doesn't light the sky, would people bother to look at the moon"

AYS2?! This scene really caught my eye. The fact that Jungkook said "The sky is your department". imma shed some tears. Jimin saying he told the moon to move so they could see the stars. The things they say are so endearing it almost feels like we are acc not allowed to witness this. It's so personal. This shows the references are very intentional.

If I had known that this day, this moment would have turn out like this, I would have held onto it more - this verifies Jungkook's regret. He feels like if he probably behaved differently then things wouldn't have turned out like this. He would have cherished Jimin and their entrancing moments more.

Overall, this bit of the lyrics emphasises the shift in perspective. The focus shifts from his feelings to Jimin's feelings.

I think its one of those sticky notes thing BTS used to do back in days when they got fan meets or something. I dunno. But I swear I saw Jungkook write "Jimin-hyung presence in my life is not small".
