On February 15th, the fires in Australia were officially declared “contained” after torrential rainfalls through New South Wales marked it the wettest week in three decades. ⠀ ⠀ The bushfires claimed the lives of 34 people, destroyed 3,000 homes, and killed more than 1 billion mammals, birds, & reptiles. The air quality index was 23x higher than what’s considered hazardous – which left 57% of Australians affected. ⠀ ⠀ Australia has a long road ahead, but is now in recovery mode!
