ok have any Spider fans seen Mama (2013)??? cause if I made something akin to a mama AU but with feral Spider and some sort of semi corporeal entity of Eywa that raised him in the forest???

maybe we use the concept timeline from the OG script, where Spider was born 5 years before the war, and Mama, of Eywa, stops some RDA grunt hired (against Q's will or knowledge, making him lose his child against his will is important to me) to "make the brat go away" from finishing the job, snapping his neck before he could out his gun to the toddler.

and then she raises him. keeps him hidden somewhere. somewhere safe. makes sure he has plenty of fruit and bugs to eat (she's a single mother, give her a break). that he knows he is not alone. and he's just a feral little thing for years and years. the war comes and goes, making Eywa even more protective over her baby.

and eventually someone finds Miles.

maybe he's 8 or so. and he's found by the Na'vi. maybe Neytiri is his Annabelle, hesitant and unwilling at first, before having to face her god for the boy's sake, claiming him as her own before he gets hurt because Eywa, being such a massive entity, so primal, so raw, doesn't know how to be gentle enough with the boy. she needs Eywa to let him go so he can be free and truly happy and safe and fulfilled.

maybe he's found at 10 by the kids. maybe he is the Lily to Kiri's Victoria, in a sense. both children of Eywa, but Spider will always turn back towards Mama.

or he's 16 and Quaritch finds his baby boy after all these years.... and Eywa is NOT going to go easy on him at all.

Edit: I should mention how much I adore Eldritch entity Eywa. who loves her children. who means well by them. but is so massive, so vast, so primal and ethereal that she just... does not understand the small likes of human/Na'vi, and cannot be gentle to our standards with us. not when directly interacting (hense why Kiri has seizures if she gets too close. cause Eyes is trying to connect to her daughter, but is too fast for Kiri's mind. while she often does not interact outside of omens, like atokirina. etc.) so this really fits my niche interest in her being kinda scary

there's a fanfic in the Mama (2013) AO3 section wherein Annabel outgrows her rocker style, marries Lucas, and becomes like...an uptight Karen mom who doesn't care about Victoria or something

maybe they will get married, but she'll have to slam her laptop shut so Victoria doesn't walk in and catch her googling "Vegas wedding chapel appropriate for traumatized 9-year-old?"
