Final Major Project - Paper Prototype Guerrilla Test - Feedback
After writing my discussion guide ready to gain feedback on my paper prototypes, I sent it to some friends and acquaintances who fall within the target audience (primary and secondary) for my Buskify application. I attached the explanation of what to do, and the link for my Marvel/POP interactive prototype so that they could test it on their own phones (featured in my last blog post).
I attached the feedback as images from the 5 people who responded and tested my application. Overall, the feedback was positive and everybody managed to understand the concept of the app, and stated that they would be more likely to stop and support buskers if there was persuasion through the concept of gaining rewards and badges. I picked out some recurring/interesting points made from the feedback which I am now going to take into consideration when creating my digital prototype:
Brand the app with a logo and colour scheme as it looks simple at the minute.
Offer different kinds of rewards other than free songs from the busker to make more people have an incentive to use it.
Push the idea that the app could be part of a bigger concept to get people involved in discovering the city.
People struggled finding the busker’s profile, so I should add links to the information sections of uploaded videos, and via the map page.
Adopt the idea that the busker would have their version of the app, so that they could check-in and activate their hotspot, and message you to say thanks if you checkin with them or donate money to them.
People liked the badge page as gaining profile achievements persuades them to use the app more.
Add images of the buskers on the leaderboard page so make it less text-heavy.

Overview
I feel that my concept is strong enough, and I have now gained enough feedback, to carry on with the development of my application. First, I will design a logo and come up with a colour scheme, and then begin to use Axure to insert my video footage into my prototype and make it interactive. This is going to be a challenge as I have a lot to learn from the new software, and need to learn how to embed videos into the app so that it is not just flat images created in Adobe Illustrator like with my previous projects.
