saw this cafe on social media and got attracted to their beautiful exterior, hence we decided to stop by for brunch during our road trip couple weeks ago. even though it was on a monday, we were surprised at how many people were there, we queued for about 20 minutes to get a table.

the cafe is inside a really high wooden building that has a very nice structure, the rustic look matches the trees surroundings very much and there’s a pond at the side of the cafe too.

the menu is very similar to many cafes and based on reviews, we weren’t expecting too much, ordered toast, pasta and fish n chips and drinks as well. the food took a while, not too long but the staff were quite busy running around all the time.

food and drinks is pretty normal, it’s not bad but nothing to shout about, pricing is similar to the city as well. i would say the ambiance here is the main selling point, as we city folks don’t get much chances to be so close to nature after all. the surroundings are quite cooling even with the sun on a good weather day, which is a huge plus.

as we were leaving, the waiting queue got even longer, it is indeed a very popular spot for cafe lovers, can’t imagine the crowd during weekends, it’s scary given the current situation. best to go on weekdays and early to avoid crowd.

So I'm weird. I do this thing when I'm talking to myself where I repeat the same sentence over and over without meaning to until it's stuck in my head and then I estimate the amount of letters (and sometimes the punctuation too) contained in the sentence and then based off of that estimate I try and divide the sentences by different numbers until I get one that works but like I'll think a sentence and be like that sounds like about 30 letters let's try 5, then I say the sentence again, but pause every five letters, and then if five doesn't for, like if I get to the end and am like shit got three letters left over I'll try and estimate how many fives there were and then make another guess and try, say, 7, or whatever. Then just keep trying until I get it right or until I realise the amounts of letters is a prime number. In that case, I either add (more) punctuation or make the sentence longer. Now I do most of this subconsciously and 24/7 btw. And the most common thing I add on when it's a prime amount is "now mate" or something similar. So I'm reading my mug, 5 mins ago, and it says "keep calm I'm gay" which I recognised as a prime amount (13 letters) so my brain goes "keep calm I'm gay now mate" to make it 20 and give me lots of nice options for dividing. Then I stopped and thought (consciously now) that that sentence is fucking hilarious. It's like.

"We're all fucked we're gonna die"

"Keep calm, I'm gay now mate"

Like,,,, just chill man, it's all gonna be ok, I'm gay now, the gayness will save us. So the moral of the story is it's ok. Whatever's fucked rn it's ok. The gay will save us.
