The one on the left was previously a Diesel bus, now converted to run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The one on the right is a newer bus, purchased using JnNURM funding. That one also runs on CNG. Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) operates a fleet of Volvo 8400 buses from various places in Bengaluru city to Kempegowda International Airport, located about 35 kilometres away from the city limit.
