The sweet peas and savory ham in this creamy pasta dish are brought together by a rich sauce made of heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. It's an easy and quick meal that works great on busy weeknights.
Ingredients: 200g pasta noodles. 1 cup frozen peas. 150g diced ham. 1 cup heavy cream. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons butter. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta until it is al dente. Remove the water and set it aside. Melt the butter in a big pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until it smells good. Put the diced ham in the pan and cook it until it gets a little brown. Add the frozen peas and stir them in. Cook for two to three minutes, until everything is hot. Add the heavy cream and keep stirring. Bring to a low boil. To make sure the pasta is evenly covered with the creamy sauce, add it to the pan and toss it around. Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the pasta and mix it around until it melts and becomes creamy. Add pepper and salt to taste. Serve hot, and if you want, top with more grated Parmesan cheese.
