Soooo....working in a doctors surgery!

Since the new year started, the first week was relaxed and wasn’t overly busy but then it hit the first Monday of the year!!

We had so many patients, so much post and so many prescription request like it was everyone’s medications were about to run out.

This month also meant I was finally on my normal shifts finally and could get myself into a routine. First week was good and we smashed it. I also found out my shifts are slightly changing, changes in the surgery and helping covering some hours as stupid me went over my holiday entitlement 🤦🏻‍♀️

Monday this week, I did a long day on prescriptions and I was overwhelming! They didn’t stop coming nor did answering the phone. It was horrendous 😟 I went home wanting wine but actually chilled and went to bed.

On a Wednesday I do the long shift, I work 08:00 - 19:00 but if I’m early into work I’m doing things and I have to wait till after the last patient has left before I can leave so I’m 12 hours out of the house. Knackered isn’t the word!

The nice thing about my job is that, I personally do get a lot of thank you’s and people remember what I do for them which just makes my day better.

Happy new year doctors surgery, don’t think the manic life will calm down any time soon 😆
