Nintendo had a server maintenance last night and adjusted the splat screen. I wasn't one of those negatively affected by it but I am hoping that it is improved for those it did. Considering the special was added just over 3 weeks ago and they have already adjusted it is great cause it is showing they listen to feedback (I'm just still confused as how it originally passed testing). But at least it's been adjusted now and I hope it is so much better.
I think this is a great example of how it is possible to make and adjust games to be accessible to all players. I had seen people telling other Splatoon fans to "get over it" "just avoid the wall" "don't play then" which is incredibly ableist. But the fact that Nintendo has listened and fixed their mistake in 3 weeks is a positive thing and I'm glad they have tried (idk if it's better for those affected yet) to fix this issue. It shows that games can be adjusted or given the option to be adjusted (colour lock) for those with disabilities to allow them to enjoy the game.
