and its like. i just don't understand why people think that its impossible for ppl who are not white to be racist. like i dont know why its shocking, i guess.

my dad was born in brazil, is part like actual native brazillian, and didn't move to the US until he was... about 30? i think.

and he's like, tbh, one of th most racist ppl i know of. he's sexist, and he's gross, i love him cause he's my dad, he just doesn't really? understand what he's saying is really shitty. even if you explain to him, he'll either be like "ok." and then forget, or just be like "well i know what im talking about"

he's racist against hispanic people, he's racist against black people, he's racist against asian people, and he's pretty rude to white ppl sometimes

he's the person who taught me what the term "reverse-racism" is, and said it was a legit thing, but that it should just be called "racism"

he actually acknowledges he's homophobic, racist, and i htink he occasionalyl knows he's sexist, but he just literally doesn't try at all to fix these issues.

while my mom is white and red head, and she's very innocent feeling, and she's completely the opposite of my dad, and anything she says thats offensive is just b/c she doesn't know better, and if you tell her whats wrong, she'll try fix it,

i just think its totally strange for ppl to be surprised that someone not white would say something racist cause of who i was raised by
