I know it has been a verrry long time since we've touched this blog, but I want to vent and get something off of my chest!
I feel like the Submas fandom has been rampant with unintentional ableism. Mainly: The of infantilizing me and my brother.
We are both widely accepted as autistic coded, but it feels like, whenever we dive too deep into the tags, I see content of me not being able to function at all thanks to Ingo's canon disappearance. This alone would not bug me, but its the way a lot of it is handled that bothers me.
It feels like people assume I cannot function at all without my brother. To an eerily similar co-dependent level. As a fictive in the system of someone who has been involved in co-dependent relationships of all kinds, this rubs all of us the exact wrong way.
I was verrry upset at the disappearance of my brother, yes, but making me come off as entirely non-functional until he comes back is... Am I odd to say that I find that a bit off? Not to mention the woobifying/infantilizing of me and Ingo in general. I feel like it is a result due to our autism coding, whether people intend to do that or not.
I truly do not know what I want to say here. I just wanted to vent my thoughts out by using our old blog.
