Inspired by @starr-fall-knight-rise Drev characters, I've been working on hand-combat weapon concepts. I'm kind of proud of them so far because I havent done weapon illustration in quite a while, but I'm especially liking the lore that is going in to these concepts.

Admittedly, some of them are a bit too 'human', but others definitely capture the feel I get from these characters when reading about them.

This is just 100% fan art, which I've never done before tbh. And it's not really fine art, just concept sketches and schematics.

This is the first sci-fi series I've really heavily gotten in to since I was in highschool, so I'm really enjoying this little self-indulgence.

Just devoured Ninefox Gambit in slightly under 24 hours, and I honestly can't remember a book whose sequel I more wanted to exist already.

Also the closest to mil sci fi Ive really enjoyed in a while. Probably because the actual conflict was mostly about intrigue and dirty tricks and occult mathematics-based social engineering.

Okay for everyone who is planning to read Book Thief now: I really recommend it, it's very beautiful and you'll love the characters, but unless you know you absolutely never ever cry over fictional characters, you probably should prepare for a lot of crying. For some reason, I think the book would be good to read in autumn, maybe because spring is typically associated with hope and happiness, so it kinda doesn't feel like the right book for spring...

Yep I agree it’s a perfect autumn book! And even if you think you don’t cry at books, prepare yourself anyway. It’s honestly the only book I’ve ever cried at but I bawled like a baby. Don’t think I can bring myself to watch the movie lol
