What would a humanized Tiktok look like? I think they would be an "influencer", they're very bright and colorful, and I like to think that they would share a sibling-like relationship with Spotify
Honestly I'm not sure what they'd look like. I didn't even know TikTok had a relationship with Spotify???? But I do know that TikTok has changed.
TikTok should have multiple designs, much like Twitter. The first should actually be a different website all together, Musical.ly! A kind of Vine spin-off for cosplayers and fandoms. They could make videos to audios, then got bought out and merged with TikTok!
Then comes the mainstream era! TikTok's avidly used by teenages to connect with eachother. The pandemic happens and TikTok gets even more eyes on them. They get in trouble for selling data, but c'mon man! Everyone does it!
Then January 2025 hits. TikTok goes down. It's no longer itself when it comes back.
They start off the same as they were, no one really bats an eye. By September, people have caught on that Something is Wrong with TikTok. It's like... It's like someone hollowed them out and is using them like a puppet. A puppet with an agenda.
Its slow but they start recommending more... 'Traditional' videos. They hide the things that are contraversal, hide criticism, and silently remove those users who are... 'Troublesome'. People notice, people call it out, but nothing changes.
Of course, every Internet Human has banned users unjustly. But TikTok seems to be targeting those who speak out against real world political figures.
So yeah, three designs for the three eras of TikTok's history! Musical.ly should be more like a young indie singer, someone who's just getting their start. Mainstream TikTok should be like a pop star/movie star/celebrity, now more established with a bigger company backing them. Corrupted TikTok should be more villainous, now being used as just a tool to influence the masses.
