I feel like the general theme for vol 4 (or at least should be) the isolation of the main(?) characters. With ruby I think there would be much better development if she was isolated in a manner similar to WBY. She could fight inner demons and find out who she is whilst still going on her quest, the same shenagains could occur that we've already seen and JNR could come along later in the volume. And this would give a better reason to Qrow following Ruby
That definitely would be an interesting take for vol 4, and I’d really love seeing how that route would go (like, seriously love. I need Ruby facing her inner demons so much). It’s harder to develop her by having JNR with her, seeing as how they’d obviously have to split the time rationally between all four characters for their own development. It’s hard, but not impossible. And it sucks cause I was seriously hyped for this volume. It’s been something I’ve been dreaming of since I got into RWBY and especially after vol 3, where shit goes down and Ruby has to mature and face these inner struggles as well as the issues seen outside of Beacon, away from her team.
