I am deadly afraid reading fanfic where the main focus is Debbie and Alice as a pair. What if I read it and yall make her butch AND aggressive. SHE IS NOT despite her back then taking the initiative when she was younger it does not remotely translate to butch.
So often queer media made by non-black people love to portray the black woman as the masculine ones. Not even queer even in general and it so freaking upsetting because most often black femmes have to reach on certain standards (which is usually white centered) to be read as feminine. You have a fictional black girl/woman who is be very feminine yet someone will come up and say "I see her as a butch". 🤢
Question are there any fanfics that DOESN'T fall under the Debbie as a butch in the relationship?
