I did the Mollrene thing, too.
Also, an introduction: I am I also am a contributor to the blog. In theory. You can look me up on the contributor's page, I exist! Once I posted a picture of a Swamp Adder!
So here goes:
Who cooks: Molly. I imagine Irene would try occasionally if she was trying to be nice and Molly would just sit there and make that face she makes when Sherlock thinks his Christmas present was for her boyfriend. Wouldn’t matter if it was good or not.
Who does the laundry and other chores: Again, Molly. And she would love every minute of it. She’d probably quit her job and just try to do nice things for Irene all day. And Irene would pretend that's not healthy, but she'd secretly be totally thrilled about having Molly around all day.
How many children do they have: Molly wants them, Irene definitely doesn’t. I imagine Molly pushing to be foster moms and Irene pacifying her with gifts. And cats. Until she accidentally steps on one with her heels and Molly realizes they're maybe not cut out for this parenting business after all.
Who’s more dominant: I’m of the opinion that Irene is actually perfectly happy to switch with a partner, although professionally she sticks to domination; Molly might need a good bit of coaxing, but I think given enough confidence she’d be happy to top Irene every now and then. It’s similar outside of the bedroom; Irene occasionally has to insist that Molly be assertive. (One of the things I tend to struggle with the most in writing them is the power imbalance between their personalities, actually, hence this headcanon.)-- unedited from quantumspork
Favorite nonsexual activity: As cliché and terrible as this sounds, they definitely go shopping. I would imagine they spend a lot of time picking out clothes for Irene and sitting around in coffee shops and cafes when they have time to spend. Molly probably only gets out when Irene is around.
Their favorite place to be together: They argue about this. All the time. Molly usually wins, but don't tell Irene that.
Any traditions: Snarking about everyone and everything over tea. Also, telling terrifyingly morbid jokes. Also over tea.
Their “song”: I think it depends on who’s asking. If Irene cared about music and trusted it wouldn’t be repeated she might say “Come On Petunia” by the Blow. Molly would pick a standard, I’m sure. “Mona Lisa” or “Everybody Loves Somebody” or even “The Nearness of You”. But she would never tell anyone, she’d just play it all the time, and “Stormy Weather” when Irene leaves on trips.
What they do for each other on holidays: Irene would indulge Molly’s weird ideas of ‘traditional holidays’ and secretly love how excited she gets.
Where did they go for their honeymoon: Irene isn't into the marriage business and Molly thinks it's cliched. Well, sort of. That what they're going with, anyways.
Where did they first meet: Morgue at Bart’s.
Any pets: Molly would want a cat, and Irene would agree enthusiastically. And then Molly would want that cat to have a friend, so they’d have two. And then she would want a third so they’re like a little family, and Irene would put her foot down. And then Molly would NEVER EVER LET IT GO.
What do they fight over: Molly gets anxious when Irene gets herself into dangerous situations. Irene would get upset when Molly wants to do/buy ridiculous things (another cat, a new hobby, etc.). I feel like Irene and Molly both have a lot of nurturing/maternal potential and a lot of immaturity in different ways and most of the fights would be one asserting themselves as a caretaker.
Do they go on vacations, if so where: Irene takes Molly all over Europe and beyond but Molly gets neurotic abroad. And at home. And Irene secretly loves being at home, but don't tell her that either.
Bold is Ami mucking about. We are sickeningly domestic Mary and we don't even live together. YET.
