"the prom" as a show is a disaster. i hate the entire ~broadway people come in and learn Humanity~ plotline like i did not care about anyone that wasn't emma and alyssa. also the fact that TLT wasn't nominated for anything this year is BS like WHO ELSE?? YOU ALREADY HAVE SUCH A LIMITED POOL OF SHOWS like that was a spit in the face. i felt that.
The Prom had...good intentions and potential, not such a great execution lmao. all the music I heard was a little too generic for me, but I’m hopeful about the movie! it’s looks decent.
I’m still SEETHING over Lightning Thief’s tony snubs my God...it’s the fact that they said the didn’t wanna have only one eligible nominee in a category so they dedicated original score the STAGE SHOWS, and then turned around and only nominated Aaron Tviet ALONE for me....like, listen. Chris McCarrell deserves that nomination. even if Aaron won like...nomination is still Something. he gave a fantastic performance (and imo the whole cast should’ve been nominated for featured actors as well). ugh the whole thing is just so ridiculously...mean? Kat Steele likened it to the mean girls that invite everyone except one girl to the sleepover and she hit the nail on the head there lol
