Rejected!

I was so excited to buy an awesome outfit online and then my mood was destroyed and quickly changed to depression. My card was rejected even though I have more than enough to buy what I want. Is this the universe telling me, "no"? I feel so betrayed... why????? Why must this happen to ME? IT'S NOT FAIR! I did nothing to deserve this sort of rejection. I feel as though I've been denied a great pleasure! Fuck.

I haven't been on Tumblr recently and I have been wondering whether I can live without being able to express myself on this socialmedia, wondering if someone is actually reading my posts... I came to the conclusion that, I really wouldn't mind and don't care... People are being butt-hurt, saying that those people who invest they're time on these long ass posts, have no life, are insecure and what not. First of all, If you easily butt-hurtpeople can't handle 'long-ass' posts, why even bother to read them?! You are investing also your time by reading those posts that you hate so much. Can't you just unfollow, block or you can even erase that person from your mind. See if that helps?! Just don't make it anymore harder for that person. Just wanna put that out...

To be honest, I'm really butt-hurt and upset over my friends not coming to my first orchestra concert. I invite them to go, but instead they chose to go to the basketball game instead. I swear they are the most dense people in the world, I implied all day yesterday that it would mean a lot to me if they came to my concert, but they still didn't notice. I don't care that they chose to go the basketball game, I care more that they treated my orchestra concert as a joke. They never even considered going to it at all. To be so passionate about music and have no one acknowledge it really hurts. 

The thing that really drove me up the wall is that when they said "Oh we'll just go to one of your more important concerts." That just drove me insane. First of all, as a musician, every concert is important. Even more so, my first orchestra concert. Is my first concert not important? Even to the point where a basketball game (when they aren't even into sports) is more important? Spamming me with snapchats of the basketball game doesn't help either. Yesterday our director gave us the most inspiring speech about the Berio Sinfonia. It was the first time this piece has been played by a US orchestra in almost 40 years, he said we should be extremely proud of our work and how we managed to pull it together in a month. He hoped that it would be a memorable and enjoyable time performing that piece. I had a wonderful time in orchestra, but not being able to share that with anyone is really sad.

I was talking to some other orchestra members and one member brought up how her family drove up to watch and even her friends that she didn't think would come came. She was saying how she didn't expect them to come because they didn't seem into orchestra music, but when she invited them she said they were so excited to go and how happy it made her that she people in the audience. For me it's just something I get really butt-hurt about. Back in high school, my parents never came to my concerts because they were busy, but at least I had my friends to fill in the role of my family at my concerts. But here, I have neither. It's just the worst feeling not playing for anyone at a concert. The concert hall might as well be empty as far as I'm concerned. Even after the concert in the theater lobby, almost everyone in the orchestra had people come watch them. I'm really grateful for my one friend who actually came to watch my concert. It really meant a lot when no one else came.

Um...

I actually read through my blog posts and I found that I actually sounded rude in my post about how I feel about Rule 34...I'm actually really sorry about how I worded it. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I'm not telling you to stop. I just don't prefer it. I know-if I don't like, don't look. I really apologize if I sounded butt-hurt or rude. It's just that I kind of felt odd seeing all those Rule 34 pictures. I'm REALLY sorry about that...

Oh, Dear. Hate Mail and Butt-Hurt People

As I sat sipping the after-dinner coffee and skimming through the last of the submissions to be vetted for content, I felt the air around me begin to change; it had become unmistakably malevolent. I could see my cat, Noodle, acting queer and refusing to go down the hall to my work office. I decided to investigate. Upon entering my office there was only the eerie glow cast from my laptop, which I had erroneously left powered on. (Yes, I'm sure I shall ride in the first-class compartment straight to hell for that offense as well, but we shall get to that in due time.) I decided it was merely my imagination, and decided to power down the laptop and call it an evening.  I drew closer to the laptop . . . 

Wait . . . what's this . . . ?

Oh, dear. Hate mail. Eight of them.  Well, what's an editor to do when someone complains or disagrees with something I've said, asserted, promoted, questioned, drew, rejected, or otherwise somehow caused someone to fire off hate mail vitriolic enough to cause my laptop to ooze malevolence so strong as to permeate the atmosphere of the entire house? Or, worse - they inundate the e-mail with an endless list of their impressive college cred . . . err . . . courses?  *Cue my eyes rolling here.* Yes. Delete. Times eight.  And just like that - all is right again in the world. I love my job.  **NOTE TO READERS*** The scenario was dramatized. At no time did my cat, Noodle, act queer. He's a rather stalwart chap.
