oh gawyn my beloved. i could write a 10-page essay explaining his character and debunking all the fandom misinterpretations of his character, but no one would read it because they are too busy reading Groundbreaking Post No. 893845 About Why Gawyn Sucks. suffice it to say that he is a representation of Young Man Broken By War just as much as rand and mat are, but people have no sympathy for him because his war trauma manifests in a way that causes problems rather than evokes an "oh this poor traumatized boy uwu" reaction, i guess.

EGWENE AL'VERE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!! truly my all time favorite wheel of time character with the most spectacular arc, i love her so much!! she gets SO MUCH unwarranted fandom hate, which is also part of why i put a small line on everyone but me is wrong about them. there are a lot of great opinions about her around here but the hate is so prevalent that i had to do a two-square shout-out. wasted potential because i will die mad about her fate in AMOL when we could've had her as one of the longest-reigning amyrlins ever hELLO. she is so cool has such amazing growth and is an all-around fantastic character!

So I'm probably more of a Crowley kind of girl, but because of that, naturally, I have a special place in my heart for Aziraphale. But I also am deeply envious because I would love to have a bookshop where I don't actually sell books to people. And of all the angels, he's the one I'd most like to hang out with. (Tho Muriel's a close second)

In this very sweet post-Monster/resurrected Q fic, the gang is all back at Brakebills and it’s Quentin’s birthday. He’s not feeling very festive, so he and Eliot ditch the party. The tenderness between them here is really lovely, and Quentin also drops an incredible pick-up line of sorts - just really great stuff. Despite the short length of this fic, I really felt the history between them and all their messy feelings, which made the ending that much more gratifying. Shout out once again to @nellie-elizabeth’s fic rec list for leading me to this fic - it was a fun one!
