Nobody tells V any differently. He just thinks MC’s voice is like that. One day he touches MC and realizes it’s a horse. He screams.

Oh and the other night I had this really cute dream about tiny rinmakoharu and like they grew up together and Haru didn't like the sensation of hugs so instead they held hands and squeezed and Rin stood up for Haru bc he was bullied for being quiet and later Haru punches someone for making Makoto cry and Mako helps them with emotions & its so innocent and pure and sweet. Ahh idk why I'm telling you this but do you know if this is a thing that exists? You can feel free to use this as inspirat

hmmm, i’m not the right person to ask about whether or not this already exists, because i don’t read too much fanfic (sorry!!) but…

i’m 100% in for neurodivergent haru.  i’m not really personally familiar enough with all the details, but i remember someone posting in s1 about how they were neurodivergent, and haru exhibited a lot of behaviors that were very familiar to them.  his relationship with water, his love of being submerged, his difficulty expressing himself/relating to people, it CAN totally be explained that way.  and i can TOTALLY see, like, makoto knowing to cling to haru’s clothes, for example, because they grew up together, but the first time rin tries to hug him, he sees how violently haru reacts, and rin would TOTALLY have been like, well, ok, you don’t like that, how about this? because that’s TOTALLY high speed! rin, always focused on his goal, and able to find out how to reach it, constantly adapting…

so i see rin trying to hug haru, and haru rejects him, and rin’s all, wth man, and haru’s just, no, i don’t like that, so rin shrugs and says, ok, well, how about this.  and he grabs haru’s hand, and squeezes.  and maybe no one’s ever held his hand quite like that before, and haru can feel the warmth of rin’s hand, but no feeling of being surrounded or confined, so haru just nods.  ok, that’s ok.  and rin laughs.  oh, good.  so they just.  get in the habit of holding hands. 

rin would absolutely stand up for his friends, too.  (i DID write something where haru punched a kid… but not for making makoto cry, for kissing him.  haru felt that meant the kid needed punching.)  and the three of them having a little camp out in makoto’s backyard, makoto having to run back to the house from time to time because ran and ren keep trying to join them, and the three of them staying up late, except haru falls asleep early anyway, ha, and rin tells ghost stories and makoto clings to haru’s shirt, and rin’s all, no, you can hold onto me, and makoto’s just like ….wait, does that work?  because haru’s always been the one to protect him, so.  he just never knew that it would be ok with anyone else.  and then haru opens his eyes for a moment, and he sees makoto clinging to rin, so he reaches out and grabs rin’s hand.  just because he fell asleep, that’s no reason for them to leave him out, dammit.  and.  yeah.
