The Love Between the Sun and the Moon 🌙
The love between the sun and the moon was forbidden, but no matter how taboo the attraction, it was inevitable. Ever since the first flame of the sun began to blaze, and the first bits of its light fell onto the shimmering surface of the moon, it was love. The moon, however, was forever stuck beside the Earth. Although she loved the Earth dearly, it was impossible to be free from the planet's strong hold. And so she was stuck for all of eternity, with a planet she had barely any romantic love for.
The sun attempted to aid the moon, sending asteroids many times to maybe loosen the hold the Earth had, but it did not budge. The sun had even attempted, albeit in not the smartest way, to destroy the planet itself. The sun knew its actions were not that of a worthy lover, but it had been millennia since he laid ‘eyes’ on the beauty that was the moon, and even longer since the warm light lit it up in the endless darkness that was the emptiness of space.
The futile attempts of both continued for billions of years, ending in failure each time. It was only when the Earth began to distance itself that the moon could feel its pull loosen. As time went on, the earth continued to distance itself, and the moon slowly made its way closer to the sun. The love would only continue to blossom between the celestial bodies. Although it would take millions of long years, the two lovers would soon reunite, in due time.
