"most vivid childhood memory... i feel like my life has been pretty colourful, but i could give you a play-by-play of the day my ability manifested as if it happened only hours ago." it's only a slight exaggeration, but it's not like anyone can tell her she's wrong. "just know that it's not exactly an exciting story. it's just... what it is, y'know? alright — let's set the scene. i'm eight years old in my childhood home, my parents are in another room speaking to one of their colleagues on the phone. it's waaay past my bedtime, it's almost midnight actually, and to help myself fall asleep i start thinking about what it'd be like to have some pets in the house to keep me company." "there's like... a cat, a dog, a couple fish, a bunny... just regular pets i thought i'd want. so they're kinda floating above my head, and as i'm thinking about which one i liked more, my dad walks into the room. see, i thought the images of the animals were only in my head, but it turns out he could see them as well. if i remember correctly, he was ten times more excited about it than i was. they ask me to create a couple more illusions of different things, before excitedly urge me to sleep so i can begin training the next day..."

"it's a man-cave, y'know? the whole place is, i mean. i have a single bed, a desk, some comics on the floor and i'm, like, against wardrobes. why do we need wardrobes? you're going to wear the clothes and dump them into hamper within like two days of washing them, anyway. that isn't to say my clothes are on the floor.... not usually... but i just don't think we need wardrobes, so i don't have one. and i have a bean bag. big fan of bean bags. and it's minion themed."
