What was better manga buu saga (saiyaman, tournament, babidi, Majin buu, fusion and kid buu) or the anime version. And for what reasons?
The manga, pretty easily I think.
The biggest issue with the Buu saga in the anime was that, once again, the sheer amount of filler slapped in there slowed things way down, for one. For another, especially given it was happening while Buu was meant to be rampaging around, a constant threat, yet we'd get elongated gaps between him doing anything. They also played up his silliness quite a bit in there, whereas in the manga, even Mr. Buu is just genuinely scary at times. One thing about Toriyama's art style back then was just how well his panels flowed and conveyed emotion and tone, and the Buu stuff was no exception.
The anime does have some positive additions though, to be honest. It's just that so many more are either just useless filler or, worse, things that added to or contradicted things Toriyama would later write about, which just cause confusion now. (Case in point, the scenes set in the anime filler version of "Hell", for example.)
