Hello I was wondering if there is a drawing program for laptops that is good quality and free? I was going to get the 30 day free trial of photoshop, but I don't want to accidentally forget to cancel and then pay a shit ton of money bc im hella broke. Thanks so much!!!!
Hello! Regarding the PS free trial, I’m fairly sure you won’t be charged after your trial is up- once the trial period is over they will send you an email/notification saying you have to purchase the full version to continue using it (and then there’s a whole bunch of verification stuff you have to go through), so there’s no chance for them to charge you even if you don’t cancel. I say go ahead and use the free trial if you want to try PS out, no need to worry!
As for free programs! I’ve tried out a whole bunch, and these are the ones I found that are great and have good reviews. They all provide different features so you can experiment and see what you like best:
Artrage: simulates real world painting/drawing tools and textured canvases
Krita: like a combination of Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai, has a similar interface to PS
FireAlpaca: similar to Paint Tool Sai, very simple interface (good if you’re just starting out in digital art)
Gimp: open source image editor/drawing program that has basic and advanced tools for all skill levels
Inkscape: open source vector graphics program (like Adobe Illustrator)
