changing animation programs
What do you use for your art? I use IBS paint
hi! i use clip studio paint ex with my computer/ipad mirroring.
Your art style makes me feral /pos. Do you mind if I ask what art program/brush you use? :0
Industry q: What programs do you use to draw/animate? How do you draw digitally, do you use an IPad, or maybe a computer? Or do it traditionally?
Oh so I use quite a few programs for my work depending if it's for animation, illustration or storyboarding. • For storyboarding, I use Storyboard Pro 7 (or version 20 if I'm on my work laptop).
• For illustration, I use Clip Studio Paint EX.
• For animation, I use the following programs for specific steps in animation:
-For rough animation, in-betweening and clean-up I use Clip Studio Paint EX
-For coloring & fill, I use OpenToonz since Clip can export vector cels that are compatible with OpenToonz.
-For composite and edit, I use Adobe After Effects.
As for if I work only digitally or traditionally, I actually do both. I own a 22HD Cintiq that's paired to my main desktop for my job. If I have to travel and still have work, I use my 13HD Cintiq (though recently airport TSA fucked up my power chord so I bought a 12in X-Pen display tablet as an affordable replacement). For traditional, I just use a Moleskine sketchbook with very basic art tools haha. Crayons, markers and a ballpoint pen. Nothing really special since I use my sketchbook to thumb out board sequences for work and it's purely for getting my ideas out and not making pretty art. But yeah that's all the tools and programs I use for animation, illustration and storyboarding.
what app do u use to draw
FireAlpaca on my laptop and MediBang Paint on my phone!
They're both free drawing programs and I've been using them since 2015/2016!

hi i just wanted to say that ur art is amazing and that ur such a big inspiration to me 😢 also what program do u use? idk if u already answered that or not so i just thought id ask
Thank you so much! I’m really glad I could inspire you :DThis has been answered before but it was quite a while ago, so no worries! I currently use Photoshop, but other fantastic programs I’ve used before and would highly recommend is Paint Tool SAI and Clip Studio Paint. They’re way more affordable than any of the Adobe products.
