Silence met Luna’s words as Camilla thought them over. Who could ever love a beast? Who could love someone who had turned themselves into a monster; someone who purposely chose their path? Over and over, the question repeated itself in her head.

She had an answer.

“I would. I would love the beast, even if I was the only one in the world.”

Luna blinked. What? She would.. love a beast? She did tell her that... she was happy that she didn’t hate herself as much anymore. Or was that a dream? Either way, she was... kinda happy to hear that her liege cares so much for her. It’ll only hurt more when she leaves one day. 

“But.. would you really? Even if it means that the world would be against you if you loved a beast?”

One day, when Luna has to leave, she fears what Camilla would say to her after what she said about being her home and cutting off her legs so she wouldn’t leave.

Luna doesn’t know if she’s getting mixed signals from her liege or not but is happy to know that she’s needed.

Sometimes Luna treats Camilla how she treats Lucina and wants to stick by her side, until the day she doesn’t need her anymore. 

Once in awhile, Luna buys clothes but she doesn’t know if most of them would fit because she’s not used to buying clothes for someone with her chest size.

40. “Something scared me” hug

Luna didn’t know why, but this battle was making her nervous and she felt... useless that she couldn’t fly in the sky like Beruka could. Not to mention those reoccurring memories of her mother... 

Shaking her head, she went to find her liege and apologized as she pulled her into a tight hug, needing a mother’s warmth and love at the moment.

She paled when she heard her liege asking her that. Was it her past memories or.. something else? Thinking it was the former, she looked away, trying to choose her words carefully.

“I...” How long indeed? Maybe she could lie? No.. that look Camilla was giving her was saying otherwise. She couldn’t lie to her anymore.

“...Since I was a child.” Luna started slowly. “It was a habit. Everything... was my fault. Specifically my bloodline.” She held onto herself to continue. “Everything... I tried to take care of myself. Tried to put up a strong front to keep people from worrying.”

The redhead then laughed at herself. “I guess.. I’m a failure of a retainer if you’re worrying about me, Lady Camilla.”

Death. Blood. Dead bodies. Burnt down villages. Luna gripped her sword tighter, and moved to find any ‘survivors’, mumbling to herself. “He can’t get away with this. We’ll defeat him once and for all.” Tears fell from her eyes, how could she stop herself? She usually came back at night, but now.. everything looked like it did back at home, she could hear his voice taunting her with how weak she was.

Luna blinked and looked around when she heard Camilla’s voice. “L-Lady... Camilla...?” She looked at her confused. Right, she was in Nohr, this wasn’t Ylisse. “I-I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”
