The smell of grass and wood, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. Well-perfumed flowers, moving in harmony with the grass in the wind, the chirping crickets and singing birds, the song of nature which she always heard; Never could she get enough of it, never would it disturb her. She has always been in harmony with nature. It was the nature itself that had kept her alive all these years and taught her so much. The time that she had spent alone among the trees and bushes and caves alone had allowed her this special bond. Green was a wonderful color in Rejla's eyes.
Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and let her surroundings take effect. No matter how agitated she was, in such moments she always found peace and a bit of security. Slowly she ran through the tall grass and let her gaze wander. Her strong, yet fine hands swept across the bark of the trees as she passed them, leaving a light glimmer for a moment. It grew dark, but she did not mind. Here it was quiet. Slowly she went down into the water. A huge and old tree stood in the middle. The branches did not carry any leaves, but it radiated an energy and strength she had never felt before. Slowly she went through the water and enjoyed the cold on her legs before she stopped. A light, bluish thing formed before her. It grew lighter and brighter, more and more she recognized a kind of body that was forming. Rejla stopped. The light around the creature rose gently into the air and burned down after a time.
"I have not forgotten our shared stories." The creature was speaking in an almost magical voice to Rejla. It was impressive. "Who are you?" She asked.
"The common life that we have challenged so far has been hard and harder and yet always connected with a light at the end of the dark. It may still seem so dark, but there will always be a light that will guide you and draw you out of the dark, Rejla. Elves and nature are in harmony, a protection of reciprocity. The world is old, and so is nature."
Banned Rejla listened. Shortly, her eyes went to the tree. Was it the one who spoke to her? Was this a magic tree? She looked down and saw the blue light forming around her body, wrapping her body. A little later she found herself in a white robe. Her hands went up and she felt two horns, metal, flowers. She looked down at her hands. "See it as a gift. Keep fighting. Feel the magic in your body and use it."
Slowly the creature disappeared before her again.
Breathtaking.
A moment she would not forget.
A gift she wore in honor.
