Advice for everyone
So if you want to see a specific cast member in a show, (like if someone has an alternate that does two shows a week or something) call the THEATRE and check with them. I've gotten wrong information from some reputable websites and not gotten to see some very talented actors.
Ticketing websites suck.
I've been having serious issues with ticketing sites lately.
Yesterday, I was trying to get the Doctor Who series 7 premiere tickets. I'm sure I don't need to tell all the Whovians on tumblr what an absolute MESS that was. The website they used was NOT prepared for the madness. I got all the way through to the end of that process and it said it couldn't process my order. I never got the site to work again and because of that- never got tickets.
Today, I was trying to get Springsteen tickets. I started this at 10:00 (when tickets went on sale). I didn't get done until 10:30. The wait time was 15 minutes or more online- I waited my 15 minutes and then it said that I had tried to get tickets in multiple windows and made me start over again. So I started again on the computer and also called. As the computer was working- I was arguing with the automated woman about the fact that I did not want rear view seats. But apparently that was all that was available on the first level- the level my mom really wanted. I asked to speak to a representative and got put on hold. Shocker. So when I got decent tickets to come up on the computer- I went ahead and bought them. I'd rather be there and be somewhere a little higher up than not be there at all. But if they hadn't started me over and if I maybe could have gotten through to a representative, I might have gotten better seats.
Moral of this story- Buying tickets for anything SUCKS. We live in such an amazing world- can't they finally figure out how to do this?
