Let's Start This {TAG: Buzz}
Heeled boots clicked against icy concrete as the sun set behind a unique, yet still picturesque, cityscape. Buildings jutted up from the ground, their brick and metal fingers reaching for the final rays of sun before the fuzzed reds and yellows were forgotten in favor of the cold forever of starlight. Sunsets were beautiful, as short lived as they were. Maybe that's what made them so sought after, though. The fear of losing the sun made humans, and non-humans alike, appreciate the last moments they had with it.
Clara stole a glance towards the fading daylight in the distance, only noting the fact it was getting late. She wasn't one for poetics. It was a sunset. There were sunsets everyday. There was no reason to focus on this one any more than any other, especially when there were promises the night had made to the girl. The void of stars and moon, always waning and waxing as if change was the only thing it knew to be true, had promised that during their reign, she could forget the definition of stress. She could forget about work, and school, and the scarred up Isle and its citizens. The evening promised that she could focus on it, and it alone, not the next day or the day after that. Just the next couple happy and carefree hours. These were promises Clara intended to have kept.
"Buzz," The witch knocked once, opening the door as she did so and immediately cancelling any good it would have done to warn the man of her entrance. "Yo, I'm here." She called out kicking off her boots and closing the door with her heel. "And have I got a surprise for you." She smiled towards the man as he appeared, lifting up a plastic grocery bag. "I got you a present." She sang, handing him her purchase and turning away to take off her coat. "It's from that store you like. All the way across town." She tossed her coat in the general direction of a wall hook, ignoring the fact it crumpled to the ground. "I thought we could do something with them."
