Terzic Thoughts After Matchday 6:

Terzic speaks to DAZN after BVB defeat Hoffenheim, and jump to the top of the table.

My thoughts:

3-1 seems like a comfortable score line on paper, but that game was far from comfortable. Similarly to our game against Freiberg, we struggle to remain dominant throughout the entirety of the game. Our defending has significantly improved, and our attack is always threatening; So where does problem lie?

In my unprofessional opinion:

I think the issue is our transitional play. We do a good job of winning the ball back, but too many times this season we have been immediately pressured off of it by our opponents. That then leads to our defense’s organization crumbling. We also have to look at our build up when playing in the opponent’s half of the field. There have been too many times our attack comes to a halt because of a sloppy pass. Sometimes we gift our possession away, so I see why Terzic would say “unnecessarily”. On the bright side, I am starting to see our players shift into gear. Ryerson and Adeyemi were lively in that game, our defense is looking a lot harder to crack, and our attack… well thats kind of always been our best asset. We have a lot going for us, but we need to bring it all together before its too late. I’m hopeful that once we work on those issues, we will be a serious contender in any competition we’re in. Push forward BVB! 🖤💛🐝

UCL MATCH DAY 4:

BVB VS NEWCASTLE

BVB jump to the top of the ‘group of death’ after claiming a win at home against Newcastle.🖤💛🐝

My thoughts:

BVB do not miss a beat coming back from a bitter home defeat to keep their UCL competition alive and well.

This is exactly the type of football i wanted to see from our BVB play since the season began. There was so much to like about the game. Great individual skill, relentless press, and fluid interplay to get the ball in threatening positions. There were a few wasted possessions still, but no where near as many as we usually have. Everyone looked so lively. Credit to Newcastle for a tenacious battle, but it was too little too late. My stand outs from the game were Brandt, and Fulkrug. Both played such an integral role in our attack.

With some of our more difficult matches out of the way for this month; I hope our boys don’t let up and expand upon the form they’re in. Happy with the win, and just what was needed after the thrashing over the weekend 🫠. Way to bounce back BVB! 🖤💛🐝
