Jobe Bellingham x Reader
Growing up as the younger brother of Jude Bellingham meant that Jobe had spent almost his entire life sharing things.
Clothes. Friends. Family attention. Football. Even comparisons.
It had always been Jude and Jobe. Together. People rarely mentioned one without the other.
And honestly? Jobe didnât hate it because despite everything, Jude was still his brother. His best friend. The person he admired most.
But there was one thing Jobe never planned on sharing. His girlfriend.
â-
The first time Jobe introduced his girlfriend to his family, he had been nervous in a way heâd never admit out loud because his familyâs opinions mattered to him deeply. Especially Judeâs.
But the moment she walked through the door everything became easy. Too easy.
His mother instantly adored her. His father treated her warmly like she had already been part of the family for years. And Jude? Jude clicked with her immediately.
Which at first made Jobe incredibly happy. Because seeing the people he loved get along so naturally felt perfect.
Dinner conversations became louder whenever she visited. Movie nights became funnier. Even family trips felt warmer with her around.
His mother started inviting her personally. His father joked with her constantly and Jude somehow became attached to her almost immediately.
At first it was harmless.
âCan you help me pick between these shoes?â
âDo you think this jacket looks stupid?â
âTell Jobe heâs wrong.â
Little things. Normal things.
Jobe laughed about it in the beginning because honestly It was nice seeing his girlfriend fit so naturally into his family. Especially because Jude usually kept some emotional distance from people outside the family circle.
But with her he was comfortable. Very comfortable. Too comfortable eventually.
â-
âCan she come too?â
That sentence slowly became the thing Jobe started hearing more than anything. Any time Jude planned something, any time they went somewhere.
âInvite her.â
âBring her.â
âTell her to come.â
At first Jobe didnât care until it slowly stopped feeling like HIS relationship and started feeling shared.
â-
One evening, Jobe and his girlfriend had planned a quiet dinner date together. Just them. No family. No football. No interruptions.
She was sitting beside him at the restaurant smiling while telling him about something funny that happened earlier that week when suddenly her phone buzzed.
She glanced down and laughed softly.
Jobe immediately recognized the contact name. Jude. Again.
âWhat does he want now?â, Jobe muttered.
She smiled. âHeâs asking if we want to meet him afterward.â
Jobe stared at her. âWeâre literally on a date.â
âI know.â
âThen why is he asking?â
She shrugged lightly. âBecause he likes spending time with us.â
Us. That word irritated him more than it should have.
â-
But the real problem started when Jude stopped acting like she was only Jobeâs girlfriend. Not intentionally. Not maliciously. That was the worst part.
Jude genuinely saw her as family. Like a younger sister. Like someone naturally included in his life now. Which meant boundaries slowly blurred without anyone noticing. Except for Jobe.
One morning proved that perfectly.
Jobe was still half asleep in bed beside her, one arm wrapped around her waist comfortably while sunlight filtered softly through the curtains.
Everything felt peaceful until the bedroom door suddenly opened.
âOi.â
Jobe groaned instantly without even opening his eyes because he already knew. Jude. Of course.
âWhat now Jude? Itâs still damn earlyâ, Jobe muttered tiredly.
âI need help.â
âWith what?â, his girlfriend asked sleepily.
Jobeâs eyes opened immediately. Not because of what she said because of the fact Jude answered her first.
âCome look at something for me.â
Jobe slowly lifted his head from the pillow in disbelief. âYou really came into my room for this?â
Jude looked completely unbothered. âSheâs better at this stuff than you.â
âSheâs sleeping.â
âSheâs awake now.â
Jobe stared at his brother for a long second that annoyed him even more because Jude acted like walking into their bedroom first thing in the morning was completely normal. Like her attention belonged to him too.
Eventually she got out of bed to help Jude choose between two jackets. And Jobe spent the next ten minutes lying there staring at the ceiling in irritation.
Because why was his older brother stealing his girlfriend before breakfast?
â-
Then came the clothes incident and that was when Jobe genuinely started getting angry.
They had all planned to go out together one evening. She came downstairs wearing a fitted dress that honestly looked stunning.
Jobe noticed immediately and before he could even say anything-
Jude frowned. âYouâre going out wearing that?â
The room went quiet.
She blinked. âWhatâs wrong with it?â
âItâs too short.â
Jobe immediately looked at his brother. Excuse me?
She laughed awkwardly. âItâs literally just a dress.â
Jude crossed his arms slightly. âIâm serious, you canât go out like thisâ
And somehow what bothered Jobe most wasnât even the comment itself It was the fact Jude said it before he did like he had some right like he was protective over her too.
Jobe stared at his older brother for a long second that night and for the first time something ugly twisted in his chest. Because suddenly it didnât feel harmless anymore.
After that, Jobe noticed everything.
Every little thing. How Jude always sat beside her. How he texted her constantly. How he asked for her opinion on almost everything. How naturally he included her in his daily life.
And worst of all? How she answered him so easily because she genuinely cared about him too.
One night finally pushed Jobe over the edge. They were all sitting together in the living room after dinner when she mentioned casually that one of her male friends invited her to an event.
Before Jobe even reacted, Jude spoke first. âYouâre not going alone with him.â
Jobeâs head snapped toward him immediately. And this time? Something inside him finally snapped too. âFuck no.â
The room went quiet instantly.
Jude blinked. âWhat?â
Jobe sat forward slowly, eyes locked on his brother now. âYou need to stop this shit.â
Jude frowned slightly. âStop what?â
âActing like sheâs your girlfriend too.â
Silence. Complete silence. Even she looked surprised.
Jude stared at him. âWhat are you talking about?â
Jobe laughed once under his breath clearly not amused. âYouâre always thereâ
His voice stayed calm but surely frustrated. âYou need her attention twenty four seven.â
âThatâs not true.â
âYou literally walk into our room in the mornings.â
âBecause I need help sometimes.â
âAnd why are you the one commenting on her clothes?â
Jude opened his mouth slightly then stopped. Because honestly? He didnât even realize how it looked.
Jobe stood up now, clearly irritated. âSheâs my girlfriendâ, His voice became firmer. âMine aloneâ
The possessiveness in his tone made her heart race slightly.
Jude stared at him carefully now finally understanding. âYou think Iâm trying to-â
âNoâ, Jobe interrupted immediately. âI know youâre not.â
And that was true Jobe knew Jude loved her like family. Not romantically. But still It felt too much.
âI know you care about herâ, Jobe admitted more quietly. âBut sometimes it feels like you forget sheâs MY relationship.â
The room stayed silent for a moment.
Then Jude sighed softly. ââŠi didnât realize I was overdoing it.â
Jobe rubbed a hand over his face tiredly. âYou were.â
Jude glanced toward her awkwardly. âSorry.â
She smiled softly. âItâs alright.â
Then Jude looked back at his younger brother finally laughed slightly. âYouâre jealous of your own brother.â
Jobe immediately answered without shame. âYes I amâ.
That honest answer made everyone laugh quietly even Jude. Because honestly? Jobe had never hidden how protective he was over the people he loved. And her most of all.
Jude stood up and patted his shoulder once. âRelax.â
Jobe narrowed his eyes. âIâm serious.â
âI knowâ. Jude smirked slightly.
âIâm not gonna share her with you, at least not her so get your shit together Judeâ
Jude laughed, âChill, chill sheâs yours have herâ
Jobe looked toward his girlfriend and when she smiled at him softly from the couch, the jealousy in his chest finally eased a little.
Because no matter how close Jude became to her at the end of the day she sleeps in his bed at night.

Underrated friendship
Pour one out for the founding fathers of football yaoi:
Jule on Kai and how they became friends:
Iâm not really sure, itâs something that has come up every now and then, but take, for example, the careers of Kai Havertz and me⊠He actually says, for the first six months, I basically ignored him, like I didnât speak to him. But that wasnât because I had anything against him. It was like, âBro, you just arrived, youâre a youth playerâ. Of course, once weâre on the pitch, we help one another, but itâs not like Iâm going around saying, âHey, let me show you around Cologne,â or âWhy donât you show me⊠Do you want to come to Aachen so I can introduce you to my parents?â You just donât do things like that. At the end of the day, itâs simply football. Itâs just a job. Itâs a passion, sure, but itâs also a job. Itâs not necessarily the case that just because youâre contractually part of the same team starting July 1st, youâre suddenly 23 best friends. But then, over time, you naturally start interacting with each other more and more, because youâre together in the dressing room. Eventually, you start getting along well, and thatâs when those kinds of things begin to form.
