Still alive and supporting Dortmund. Been, really hard to do both lately :^).

I got more responsibilities at work so i cant watch the games on the side as freely anymore. Because i live in America; the weekday games have been hard to watch tentatively. Which makes giving an immediate post, review, and summary unfeasible.

I haven’t changed the name yet because I like coming back to the blog to relive some of the memories of 2023/24. Also, it was a fun endeavor for me. Some of the fun comes from looking back at my writings and critiquing what i could do better.

I see myself being a bvb supporter for life. Unless, they do something thats is affront to my morals.

This season had been painful to watch. I knew a rebuild period was due for the club, but we dove from grace. I am hopeful we can turn things around. A Europa league qualification is still in the cards. You can call me delusional, but a champions league finals shattered my expectations last season.

Last season this club let me dream. The group of death was a triumph. I had an air of disbelief when we won in the semi finals. Even though we lost, I’ll never forget the feeling while dreaming and thinking: “what if we win? What if we shock the world?”

“Always the bridesmaid, never the bride” is a term i heard to describe Dortmund. While there is valid reasoning behind that, it’s not “always”. The excitement comes from knowing we can achieve greatness. Of course it hurts when we don’t but thats what makes the wins feel like so much more. Reus captured my attention as a kid and taking in the club as whole made its mark on me. Its not too late for the team to turn things around. This season, I dont know what the destination will be; but I will enjoy the journey. HEJA BVB! 🖤💛

MATCHDAY 21

BVB cruise to a 3-0 win at home!🖤💛🐝

Thats more like it! It was nice to see Julian Ryerson come back to our line up; even though it was a shakey start for him, he eventually grew into the game. Today we looked like our former selves. There is still a lot of work to do, but overall it was a good performance. I feel like we are so hot and cold when it comes to our form, but with our champions league match coming up soon, this is a confidence boosting result. Ian Matsen has been stellar since his arrival, and with other players coming back from injury, i am hopeful for our up coming fixture. Don’t let up now BVB! 🖤💛🐝

Bundasliga Matchday 19

BVB end their drought at home with a comfortable win. 🖤💛🐝

My thoughts:

We finally get a win at home again! I have to give credit to Bochum, who never looked as if they were out of the game. I also want to give praise to Maatsen for a terrific defensive performance. We looked shakey at times, but still looked the better side overall. I am ecstatic with these last few results. Even though we have a few players out injured, we seem to have really bolstered the depth in our squad, with our recent signings. It was nice to see Fullkrug get his first hat trick too. Overall it was great performance. There is room for improvement but it is hard to make a reproach of the team at the moment.

I feel like we are at a volatile point in our season, due to our weak start to the season. We have to claim as many points as we can from these upcoming fixtures; If we want to remain in the title race, or secure champions league football. We are showing we are on track for that at least. Onward and upward BVB!🖤💛🐝

BUNDASLIGA MATCHDAY 18:

BVB run riot away at Koln! 🖤💛🐝

My thoughts:

What a sensational game for the bees this was. The introduction of Maatsen and Sancho has proven to be a hearty addition to our squad. Both have had an immediate impact since their arrival. Honestly i am over the moon with how they have been playing, and the contributions they have made to our team.

The rest of the team looks like they have shifted into a higher gear as well. It’s only 2 matches so its hard to say for certain that this will be a consistent run of form or a trend. Either way, it seems like everyone has adjusted well to the new faces, and incorporating them to our team play. I want to sing my praises for Blank as well. He also had a great performance on and off the ball. He did very well under pressure, and showed great effort in defending. These last two games has made me very optimistic for the rest of this campaign. There is always room for improvement; so heres to us continuing to grow with the addition of these new signing. Keep pushing forward BVB!🖤💛🐝

P.S. sorry for missing last matches review. Had a lot on my plate at the time.
