Summary: What if Pedri, FermĂn and Gavi fell for the same girl?
Pedri Gonzalez x Pablo Gavi x FermĂn Lopez.
Having a crush was apparently humiliating at least according to Pedri.
Actually, no according to Gavi, it was pathetic.
And according to FermĂn? It was embarrassing only if someone found out.
Unfortunately for all three of them, that was exactly what was about to happen.
It started after training. One of those long exhausting days where everyone somehow ended up too tired to go home immediately.
The sun was already starting to set over the training grounds, casting warm orange light through the windows of the recovery room while players slowly disappeared one by one.
Some headed home. Some to press. Others just disappeared somewhere.
But somehow Pedri, Gavi, and FermĂn ended up staying behind. Which honestly wasnât unusual, they were close. Always teasing each other. Always arguing over stupid things. And always ending up in the same place after training without planning it.
This time they sat lazily in the lounge area, half eaten snacks on the table, phones in hand, a football game playing quietly on the TV no one was actually watching.
FermĂn sat manspreading across the couch comfortably while Gavi leaned back dramatically beside him, meanwhile Pedri stayed quieter as usual in a chair next to the couch, scrolling absentmindedly through his phone.
Everything felt normal until FermĂn suddenly sighed dramatically and threw his head back. âI hate having a crush, this shit is exhausting.â
Then Gavi immediately looked over. âYou have a crush?â
Pedri looked up too actually surprised because FermĂn didnât seem like the crushing type.
FermĂn groaned loudly. âUnfortunately.â
Gavi burst out laughing immediately. âNo way.â
FermĂn rolled his eyes. âYes me, idiot.â
Pedri smirked slightly. âWho is it?â
FermĂn pointed at him immediately. âNo chance.â
âOh come onâ, Gavi complained. âYou brought it up.â
âExactly. Huge mistake.â
The conversation spiraled from there, mostly because Gavi refused to let it go stubbornly. âNo seriouslyâ, Gavi said, sitting forward now. âWho is it?â
FermĂn sighed dramatically again. âBecause I actually like her.â
That immediately caught both of their attention.
Pedri raised an eyebrow slightly. âYou really do like someone?â
âYou?, Gavi repeated again.
âCan you stop sounding shocked?â, FermĂn rolled his eyes annoyingly.
Which honestly only made Gavi laugh harder, because seeing confident, easygoing FermĂn genuinely affected by a crush felt weirdly entertaining.
Then Gavi suddenly smirked. âWaitâ. He pointed accusingly. âYouâre acting shy.â
âIâm not shy you piece of shitâ
Pedri laughed quietly now too. For the first time FermĂn actually looked embarrassed.
âOh my Godâ, Gavi laughed. âYouâre gone.â
âShut up you both!â, he sighed. âSheâs justâŚdifferentâ
The teasing stopped slightly after that because something in his voice sounded real. Like this wasnât just attraction. It mattered.
Pedri leaned back slightly. âWhatâs she like?â
FermĂn smiled before he could stop himself, and immediately both of them noticed.
âSheâs funnyâ, The smile stayed. âSweet, she somehow gets along with everyoneâŚand she remembers stupid little things.â
His expression softened slightly. âLike weird details no one else notices.â
Pedri looked down for a second, because annoyingly that sounded very familiar.
Gavi noticed it as well but decided to ignore it. At first.
Then Gavi suddenly shrugged. âFine.â
FermĂn blinked. âWhat?â
âIf weâre confessing thingsâŚâ, He crossed his arms dramatically. âI have a crush too.â
Both heads snapped toward him.
Pedri actually laughed. âNo way.â
âWhy is everyone shocked?â
âBecause you flirt with everyoneâ, FermĂn said.
âThat means nothing.â
Pedri smiled slightly. âWho is it?â
Gavi immediately looked away, which alone shocked both of them, cause Gavi almost never got shy.
âSheâsâŚâ, He rubbed the back of his neck. âAnnoying.â
FermĂn blinked. âThat doesnât sound romantic at all.â
âNo, shut upâ, His ears turned slightly red. âSheâs funny, she talks too much but somehow I still wanna hear her talk for eternityâ
Pedri tried not to smile. Again that sounded familiar too.
âShe gets along with everyoneâ, Gavi continued quietly. âAnd sheâs niceâŚsheâs very pretty as wellâ
FermĂn slowly sat up straighter, now something felt strange. Very strange.
Then suddenly, both pairs of eyes turned toward Pedri who immediately looked uncomfortable. âNo.â
Gavi narrowed his eyes. âYou definitely have one too.â
Pedri sighed quietly. âIâm not talking about it.â
âOh my Godâ, FermĂn laughed. âPedri?â
Gavi looked genuinely shocked. âYou have a fucking crush?â
Pedri rolled his eyes. âYes so what? Iâm a human being like youâ
He shrugged slightly. âA while nowâ
âYou hid this from us you fucker?â
Pedri, âYou didnât tell me about yours too!â, He looked down briefly then quietly admitted, âI just didnât think anything would happen.â
That answer somehow softened both of the guys instantly, that sounded painfully Pedri. Quietly liking someone and never saying anything. Just carrying feelings around silently.
âSoâŚâ, FermĂn said slowly. âWhatâs she like?â
Pedri hesitated and finally smiled softly. âSheâs kindâ, His voice got quieter. âLike genuinely kindâŚshe remembers everything, she makes people feel comfortable.â
And softly added, âShe makes my bad days feel easier.â
Silence, complete silence. The similarities became impossible to ignore.
FermĂn frowned slightly. ââŚWait.â
Gavi looked between them. âNo wayâ
Pedri slowly looked up. Already realizing. Already dreading it.
FermĂn spoke first. âSay her name.â
Gavi immediately shook his head. âNo Iâm not gonna do thatâ
âOn threeâ, FermĂn said.
Pedri groaned immediately. âThis is a terrible idea.â
And simultaneously all three said her name.
Then, âNo fucking way!â, Gavi looked horrified.
Pedri buried his face in his hands immediately.
FermĂn just stared blankly ahead. âYouâre joking meâ
âOh my godâ, Pedri muttered.
âHer?â, Gavi asked dramatically. âThe same girl?!â
FermĂn looked personally offended. âHow are we all liking the same person?â
Pedri sighed heavily. âThis is horrible.â
For the next twenty minutes somehow turned into complete chaos.
âYou liked her first?â
âYou literally blush around her!â
Meanwhile Pedri stayed unusually quiet which made both of them stop eventually.
He looked genuinely worried.
âWhatâs wrong?â, Gavi asked.
Pedri sighted. âWhat if this ruins everything?â
That made the room quieter because honestly? He had a point. They were friends, close friends but somehow without realizing all of them had fallen for the exact same girl. What a weird scenario.
FermĂn groaned. âThis is a fucking disaster.â
âA huge disasterâ, Gavi agreed then after a pause, ââŚBut sheâs really pretty.â
âThat not helping, you assholeâ Pedri muttered in frustration. He wasnât mad about them but about the situation.
Eventually silence settled between them.
Then FermĂn asked, âSo what do we do now?â
Nobody answered because honestly? None of them knew should they compete? Step back? Pretend feelings disappeared? Impossible.
Especially when every single one of them genuinely liked her, not just a crush, not just attraction. Real feelings.
Then Pedri muttered, âIâm not giving up.â
Both heads turned immediately.
Pedri looked down slightly, still shy, still soft spoken but indeed firm. âI like her.â
The confidence surprised both of the other guys.
Then Gavi sat forward immediately. âWell neither am I giving up on herâ
FermĂn laughed once. âOh this is badâŚbecause same goes with me too.â
And despite the absolute fucked up situation unfolding, all three started laughing. Because only them could accidentally end up falling for the exact same girl but somehow still be sitting together arguing about it like idiots.
Even if secretly every single one of them was already wondering the same thing. Who would she choose? How could they solve this without affecting their friendship? Cause obviously no one was ready to give up for the other.
