      but his mind snapped back into reality, only to hear some footsteps. his eyes turn, but his head is straight ahead. with a monotonous voice:

When Komaru's happy, you'll know instantly. She's usually going around with a smile on her face, and a small extra bounce in her step (unless she's injured, which is a lot sometimes). But, even if the smile isn't present, you can tell she's happy just by looking at her actions and by her attitude at that moment.
