Les amoureux au clair de lune - Marc Chagall - c.1931 (5x7) (JL - c.2017/3934)
Passage ~
D'art kneeled as if in prayer, tattoos and tatters and barefeet tucked, on a twin bed of which there were two. On the other twin sat Jessica Drew, D'art's best friend, holding up the evidence of their cracked caper. It was IDIOT did it, planted the bomb, that shadow band of criminals, evading justice. IDIOT stood for I Did It On Time, nomenclature braggadocio, for their bombs exploded punctual, tick-tick-BOOM! Not anymore. Two girls in a bedroom, one preppy one punk, scattered with papers, their labor, their work - even the comforter sweat with their efforts. Two girls in a bedroom, talking stories talking art, dog collar and sweater, one leg warmers torn, one leg warmers not. They put their heads together, their differences their assets. They would show the world - these best friends had solved it!
