is there a word for people who arent autistic and still "stim"? like, i have anxiety and i flap my hands around a lot and play with them to stay calm and do "stimmy" things but i feel like the word "stim" should be for autistic people only?? so... do you know a word i could use?
Let me preface this by saying that I am not autistic. I stim for my anxiety and my trich/derm. However, it is my belief that the phrase stim/stimming can be used by anyone, as long as they recognize its origin and respect it!!!
