They really shouldn't laugh. It is not a proper response, and they know that Matt is a nervous guy, especially about stuff like this, but they can't help it. "Dude, you had me screaming your name and you're asking if it was okay?" And yeah, it was their first time doing anything together, so maybe Nadine could just be very vocal. Or a good actor.

They had not had to do any.

"Genuinely, you blew my fucking mind. Which takes a lot, by the way." They toss one shirt his way, and grab another for themself. They have no idea which one actually belongs to who. it wouldn't be the first time he's been oblivious. call it what you want– insecurity, social ineptitude, denial... robby finds himself surprised, sometimes, to find people looking at him in a certain way. doug's a little bit of a close talker, and that coupled with the fact that robby's hearing isn't quite as good as it used to be means they've been in close proximity most of the night. it hadn't even occurred to robby to think anything of it, but maybe that could be attributed to the two beers and the bourbon he's been nursing all night. doug kisses him and he lets him, not quite knowing how to reciprocate. for god's sake, how long has it been since he kissed someone at a bar? a decade? two?

they separate and he breathes in slow, blinking into the dim light of the bar. his mouth opens, shuts again. he wants to kiss him again– properly, maybe, and the thought scares him.

"i'm your attending," he says dumbly, still having trouble breaking his gaze from doug's. and it's true. and it doesn't mean he wants it any less.

Jin stood in the doorway, bathrobe pulled tight around his waist. Sunday morning beamed through the spaces between the blinds, striping the wall and partially illuminating Jin's face.

It was odd being the one with a stranger in their bed by morning. Jin was usually the one hustling home in the wee hours of the morning after a one night stand, waking up in hotel rooms or shuffling partners out under the cover of night. Even he had to admit that sometimes it was nice to have a warm body to sleep next to, even if his sleep was patchy and poor quality.

"You're lucky you're so good looking or I would've kicked you out last night."

He yawned, bags under his eyes evidence of his need for rest.

"Did you forget all about me so quickly?"

"hey, great set man," will gives a quick pat to the other guy's shoulder, a perfectly acceptable and manly gesture. it's a bit on the dim side in the bar, but will's smile is pearly white and genuine: bathtub cigarettes might not be his typical genre of music and so he'd been a bit surprised to find that he did genuinely like it. then again, how many people have said the same about him?

not as many as he'd like, to be honest.

rory holds up the double espresso shot close to her nose and wiggles it uneasily at the slam of floral wafting up her airways, shooting @bychuck a wary look before peeks into the brew, half expecting literal lavender sprigs to flare out of the foam. after a long, daring inhale she lifts the rim of the cup to her lips to sip and lets herself ruminate on the flavor and aftertaste. ❝ this tastes like perfume, langdon. ❞ she finally decides with an obvious scowl, as she very ungracefully pats down her tongue with a napkin to wipe off the aftertaste as she shudders, ❝ what the fu - fraaaank -- ❞ she drags out a muffled whine, the napkin still stuck to her tongue as she reaches for the water bottle, ❝ i thought you liked me. why would you make me drink this ? ❞

i'm really really into this new show i've been watching, it has one of my favorite actors in it and it has vampires, so i've been going off to ravi about the latest episode. i'm a little passionate about it, not usually one to get into shows like this but turns out there's really a first time for everything. he's not judging me like anyone would've before, my parents only cared about themselves and exes that were models that did the same but he's just listening to me and he's touching my jaw, i feel loved in a way i didn't know was possible.

i lose track of what i 'm talking about, my focus now on him, my own hand coming up to cup his face and i shake my head in disbelief. " you're not real. " i whisper then i kiss him, short and sweet but lingering, hovering right above his lips for a moment. " you can't look at me like that when i'm talking, you know what it does to me. " i tap his face a couple times where my hand was resting and close my eyes. " i forgot what my point was. "
