Celine Dion parody. Each year in Québec, our best comedians put up a parody show of that happened during the year. 2016′s was a disappointment, so I went back at 2015 and 2014... I rediscovered the parody of Céline Dion and can’t get enough XD When the man enters at the end of the sketch, he says that in 2014, Céline hasn’t done anything special worthy, so her parody is cancelled. Then enters a “low-budget Céline” who is sad for not being able to play Céline.

Dear Readers,
I will admit, it has been a while. So long in fact that a new year has started, oh dear…
I never did finish NaNoWriMo (the reason I took a small hiatus from both blogging and reading), but do you know what I did get out of it? 1,840 words. A first chapter, a whole chapter more than the year before.
I also didn’t quite finish my reading challenge, where I aimed to read 36 books in the year (3 books a month). But I did read 28 books, which is one hell of an improvement on the previous year.
And well I didn’t quite make it to Phuket, but I’m happy to report that my darling mother is well and truly on the mend with her new and improved hip. Aaaaand Jen and I actually made it to Sydney!! Here are some happy snaps of the places we visited.
How cool is that?
2014 was actually amazing. I started working full-time in the job that I love, I bought a car, got my drivers license, went to Japan and Sydney and even picked up crochet again. I celebrated my third anniversary with my soul-mate, spent so much time with family and great friends, and I did Steptember! And I plan to continue doing awesome things and growing as a person in 2015.
Starting with a fresh theme and funky new pages? Check!
And an interesting quote to ponder? Check again!!
“Because things are the way they are, things will not stay the way they are.” -Bertold Brecht
I hope this post finds you well my darlings. May the new year bring us all health and happiness!!
Written with love, Mandii xoxo

Review of 2014
I know people say that so much can happen in a year, but wow, so much really can happened, and I've been learning that more and more each year. It’s incredible all that can happen in only 365 days.
I thought that so much had happened and that I had learned and grown so much from 2013, but I've learned even more and grown even more as a person in 2014. I've accomplished so much this year too and I've meet some amazing new people this year.
I completed my FETAC Level 5 Media Studies course, which I loved, from doing this course, it helped me realise the path in media that I wanted to peruse. Through this course I met some great new people, as well as having my own friends from years previous there in the college too. Getting to spend the year with all my old and new friends in MBC and having unreal craic, the best lunch breaks ever, driving around and just laughing so much. I managed to then go on and pass my year there with a distinction, honour levels. Yup, I managed to graduated, amazes me too. The time spent there was great, I made some great friends that I'm still in contact with and I miss my tutors dearly.
But time moves on and you gotta keep moving on and up the ladder too, so my next step was college, which I managed to get into DIT. My course wasn't my first choice, which upset me at the start, but I do believe everything happens for a reason, because I ended up in a course that I absolutely love, so things couldn't have worked out better! I was so nervous figuring my way round the huge college and Dublin itself. Starting in a place totally new walking into a huge campus, not knowing one person, can be very daunting, but I managed it quite well, I don't know how, but I was very calm, I guess all my chatting to fellow DIT students and union members on twitter helped a lot, as they were very welcoming and calming. I met some awesome people in DIT and I've made some great friends in my course too! After taking that huge step, the next was moving into my humble abode. Yuuup, I finally was livin' the dream and got to move up to Dublin. Myself and one of my best friends also studying up in Dublin decided that we'd move in together, we were trying to get more of our friends together so that we could all live together, but no one else was going to college in Dublin. We went house hunting and found the perfect little house, just off O'Connell Street, it's right beside everything! And was in our price range, we couldn't get over our luck. As well as our landlord Paddy being one of the soundest people ever, he always sorts everything for us straight away, and he really cares for all of us, like what kind of landlord throws down €50 and tells his tenants to enjoy there weekend! He is some man. Anyways we had to brave living with strangers. We were worried that we were going to be living with some weirdo freaks, all we were told by Paddy was that we were going to be living with 5 lads and 2 other girls, 9 of us in the house altogether, we knew nothing else about our soon to be new housemates, we were terrified. Looking back I laugh, because I don't know how I was never not close to these people, like we are a family. And if there is anyone that's a freak in the house it's me and Eirnín, hahaha. The lads are such gentlemen, they look after us so well, and are actually super clean, because I imagined living with 5 lads, the house would be disgustingly dirty, but everyone cleans up after themselves. I guess it's cause they're all between the ages of 20 and 21, so they're a bit more respectful and mature. I don't know what I'd do without them, so kill the spiders for me, make me tea and carry out the bins, lol. Our house even had a little Christmas tree, where we all did Chris Kindle, twas' the cutest. Even now over the Christmas break I miss them all so much, although they do still make me laugh with the messages in the whatsapp group chat and snapchat. As for the gals, I consider them some of my nearest and dearest, it's weird to think that I've know them for such a short space of time, cause we all clicked instantly. I know I've made life long friends with these people. It's crazy how many new people I've met in 2014, they have all definitely helped me grow and change into the person that I am today.
As well as all that, I had one of the most kick ass summers ever. I don’t even know where be begin! It was jam packed, but I’m forever busy regardless, lol. Summer 2014, I went on my first ever sun holiday, which was incredible! It was a whole other world! Literally like a paradise, heaven even. Blue skies, sunshine, palm trees, aswell as everything being dead cheap! Plus I got to go with two of my best friends, what more could you ask for! I got to do so many fun things and experience so many new things, that I wouldn't have got to experience here in Ireland. One of the best times of my life, which I won’t forget. My summer also contained fun-filled nights out with my gal pals, trips to the lake, camping, family affairs, just chilling and hanging with my nearest and dearest. & much much more! Not to mention I turned 18, summer 2014, yep, I finally became legal, no more problemos with id, woooo. I became an adult.
There was a lot of heart ache and bad news that came with 2014 too, don't get me wrong, I was told some devastating things and there was a lot of struggles and hard times faced in the year as well. But I want to try and keep my reflection of 2014 positive, because as is said you got to take the good with the bad and I do believe everything happens for a reason. I'm looking it forward to 2015, and to what it brings, since I am so happy with where I am at the minute, I'm hoping the the rest of the year will be just as good. HNY peeps xo
Happy new year my dear followers! I hope 2015 brings you everything you wished for!
2015 will be even better than 2014. I promise <3
A belated happy new year
To each and every one of my followers, I'd like to think that everyone had a good 2014 but I know that some people have had a rough time. If your year was shit or fantastic, I hope that your 2015 is even better because you all deserve it. Even if you only make one resolution, make it this: "I promise to look after myself, keep being awesome and never change for anyone but myself because it's my fucking life" I genuinely hope 2015 brings good things your way and that it beats 2014 by a mile. Love you guys :)
