Because you’d think it’s nice to have Lance NOT boast around as usual, but this fragile side of Lance is too heartbreaking. Keith holds him close and tells him it’ll be alright, tells stuff about Earth and asks questions about Lance’s family to have Lance focus on something nice. Lance hates being so vulnerable, but he loves Keith for being there for him. Keith is always there, in good and bad, and Lance thinks he should swallow pride for five seconds and find a way to show how much he appreciates it.
