“Gosh, that’s... what?” An intrigued Kosuzu pauses as she’s walking away from the main trail, having seen something strange and of interest. The thought nags at her that maybe she should simply adhere to the paths outlined on the map, but she also wasn’t going to let some lines on a piece of paper dictate where she can and can’t go, especially in a new place.

Given that the map didn’t specify just what was on the outside, she felt it her duty to wander inside this black void. It shouldn’t be a problem to peek inside for a few minutes, should it? After such a pause she turns a sharp right and starts in the direction of the black mist, not letting any of the concerned stares of the onlookers deter her.

Battle armors do made them looked like cosplayers. However, it’s real and they’re not for show. Hikaru’s not going to lie that she had never seen apparel like that before in her own life. She had once had her own armor and glove once but not as great as Chris’.

She was awed of it.

“Your outfit looked so cool. What’s that called?”

What’s that ominous noise? It sounds a little like — 

“ CHRIS-CHAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN! ” 

Slamming into the teen at full speed, Hibiki pulls her friend into a surprise hug, leaving no room for escape. Where did she come from? How did she get there? Nobody knows, but for a second it feels like they’re flying: the thrill of the fall, the lovely autumn wind brushing through their hair — it all comes together in a single, fleeting instant before the two of them topple ungracefully into the pavement. 

“ I haven’t seen you in forever! ” It’s been one day, max. “ Hey, what is this place? That taxi driver was super sketchy! Plus, I don’t even remember ordering a taxi in the first place. I thought I was calling the pizza guy! ”

“ Speaking of which, we should get something to eat. Chris-chan, do you have any money on you? I’ll pay you back, I promise ~ ! ”

She sits on a bench, looking out at the people enjoying their daily activities. For all these people to be thrown into a place so strange and new, it was surprisingly peaceful. She holds a bag of birdseed in her hand and tosses it out, watching as the pigeons gather around and peck at it.

Yeah, it was surprisingly peaceful. Nevermind the fact that she didn’t know what to do with herself, that she’s barely managing to do even this because she isn’t sure what her next step should be. If she just sat here and fed the pigeons, enjoyed the breeze, nothing would get to her. But she also can’t keep to herself forever. Her troubles are her own, but there was nothing wrong with meeting new folks, either. So she waves at the next girl who walks by, a warm smile across her features. “Would you like to join me?” She gestures to the birds around her with the bag of seed, “If you approach slowly, I don’t think they’ll fly away.”

Why would people let perfectly usable food go to waste? The assassin thought it was just so weird. How could people in the would be going hungry if there was so much food to waste? If she didn’t love her job so much, the girl might have complained about working for nothing. Oh. A person seemed to be calling her out, asking what she was doing. Before replying, the blonde pokes her head out from the garbage she was digging through.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m looking for food. You are very strange...”
